Babel Towers

Massive space elevators that allow for easy, cheap, and efficient planetary escape velocity. Constructed using Carbon Nano-Tubes and active support structures. It is built like a skyscraper at the bottom and transitions into a rope-like structure. It is held in place by the geostationary starpool at its top pulling it into space and the skyscraper at the bottom pulling it down.

Starpools

An airport, but with airlocks instead of runways, and Spaceships instead of planes. The name comes from Moonpools, which give water access to boats and drilling rigs. They act as trasnportation hubs, where people come before they enter a plant. They provide a space for spaceships to land, without having to deal with the dificulties of breaking through the atmosphere of a planet. Not to be confused with Starports.

Starports

A larger version of rocket launch sites we already have in real life. They are on the ground of their planet and can only send/recive Spaceships capable of atmospheric launch and landing, and are no longer in use by any but the most remote planets due to the cost of a plan-bound launch, however they are cheaper in the short term than building a whole Babel Tower and Starpool.
